About Us...

Welcome to the official website of Fireside Bull Breed Rescue. The rescue has evolved due to market forces so to speak, originally Fireside Staffie Rescue it became clear that being limited to one breed meant having to say no to dogs just because of their breed. Not a fair way to decide a dogs fate and with Mel's knowledge of all things canine especially bullbreeds she was being sought out by individuals and other rescue organizations to provide advice and to help re-home just about any bullbreed you would care to mention.

  Taking it forward...

It was a natural progression to expand the rescue to cover all bullbreeds and not being constrained to one breed and not being answerable to a breed club allows us to help any of the bullbreeds including cross breeds who often cannot be helped by a single breed rescue.

We have an extensive network of contacts who can provide help when needed whether it be on canine health, legal matters, fostering, home checking, transport, grooming, financial help for neutering, micro chipping and many other subjects.

So browse the site and enjoy the stories and the pictures of some stunning dogs, if you enjoy what you see add us to your favorites and tell your friends about us and the site, or maybe you will register as a member(no charge) and post something of your own, even better if you would like to help we can never get enough of that and everybody has something to offer and you should check out the volunteer section, it is very rewarding work and who knows you may even have some fun and meet some new friends along the way.

Fireside Rescue is committed to making a difference we know we will never solve all the dog worlds problems but if we can deal with some of them then it is worthwhile, we never put a healthy dog down and unlike some breed specific organizations we do not discriminate on the grounds of a dogs breeding after all it takes a pure bred dog to produce a cross and if breeders were more careful about homing puppies and vetting potential homes there may not be as many money not the animals wellbeing seeming to be the driving force.

We are working with others to change the laws of the land and the opinions of others for the benefit of the dogs. Rescue will always try to advise and educate to prevent the surrender of a dog believing that in most cases it is best for all if a dog stays in its original home after all in most cases it is the owner not the dog who needs training.
